About the exam
FMGE is the qualifying examination an Indian citizen with a foreign primary medical qualification must clear before being registered to practise in India. It is a purely qualifying test — there is no ranking and no merit list, only a pass mark.
Because the paper draws from the entire MBBS curriculum, most successful candidates study subject-wise first, then switch to high-yield revision and full-length mocks in the final eight weeks.

Who can apply
- Indian citizen or Overseas Citizen of India holding a primary medical qualification awarded outside India.
- Degree recognised in the country of study and eligible for registration there.
- Eligibility certificate from the regulator where required for the year of admission.
